| It is only with Sidi-Mohammed-Ben-Abdellah in the 19th century that the Alaouite dynasty was interested in the city. The palace of the Bahia was built by the vizier Ba-Ahmed, of the sovereigns Moulay-El-Hassan and Moulay-Abdelaziz. It was conceived in several times which accounts for the absence of an overall plan. Its room of honor and its marble court are of great interest. Its garden with the abundant vegetation is divided by paved alleys of marble and mosaic. |
