A priori, the district of the souks seems disordered, actually all its main streets converge towards the doors of the walls. This whole is wide and includes all the old crafts of Moslem Spain, in particular the work of leather, vegetable fibers and wood. The Smata souk (of the babouchiers ) is the one which knew how to keep the most of its character, it points out the Middle Ages with its tortuous alleys and its central gutter.
